The PTO will be hosting a bake sale on election day to offer treats to those who come to vote on November 8th. We will have the tables up from 7:30am-10:00am and 12:00 pm-1:30pm. The money raised will go towards additional enrichment opportunities not included in the daily curriculum for the children.
To make the sale a success we need your help to supply baked goods or sell them. When bringing in items please have them packaged in individual serving sizes and ready for sale. You can drop items off in the Riverside lobby on Monday morning or afternoon or Tuesday morning. Some ideas: brownies, cookies, granola, fresh fruit, muffins, etc.
Please sign up to bring a baked good and/or help out via the Sign-up Genius (http://www.signupgenius.com/go/20F0C4AABAD23A5FE3-election); however, if you don’t get a chance to sign up, feel free to bring in baked goods anyway!

There are many benefits to walking to school with your child. Walking to school instills active habits that can contribute to a lifelong healthy lifestyle. It is an opportunity to teach your child how to be a safe pedestrian. It is also a way to socialize with your child’s neighbor and build community. Additionally it inspires alternative modes of travel to decrease traffic, congestion & air pollution.
New Jersey Safe Routes to School offers a “Walking School Bus” app that can be downloaded from the Apple store or on the android via Google play. Look for our school listed under “Princeton” school district. Groups have been established as Green/Blue/Red/Orange routes. Please join one of these routes or establish your own group with your friends. What a great way to enjoy your neighborhood environment. We hope you will enjoy walking! This event will take place rain or shine!
We are so excited because the event is almost here! Thanks to everybody who will be participating with a table, performance, food, books and everyone else who will be attending. Thank you to all that made it possible - the event coordinators, party and basket donators, 5th grade workers, bakers, attendees, servers, check-out desk workers, set up and clean up people, and those who signed up for parties! We raised over $15,500 Friday night that will provide the funding for theater and rhythm residencies, teacher mini-grants, science week programs, Jetta Hall Fund grants, after school clubs, end of the year assemblies, Riverside folders and planners, and more!
What makes it special is the chance to come together as a community over dinner and during the months ahead! Thank you all!
