Current Volunteer Opportunities

The PTO is made up of and depends on Riverside parent volunteers.  The enrichment and support we provide to our kids/teachers can't happen without many hands pitching in.  Help continue to build Riverside's rich learning environment any way you can!  As one new parent said it best,

"There isn't a better way to learn about what is going on at the Riverside School than to be part of the PTO and attend the meetings."

We have seasoned veterans and newcomers alike on our PTO!  We would love to hear ideas from families new to the Riverside Community.  Please contact Co-Presidents Sheppard Kaufman or Joy McPartland (president@rspto.org) to find out how you can participate in a way that fits your interests and availability. 

For the 2024-25 school year we are looking for volunteers to help us with the following events and programs:

School Services - Lead the team that plans teacher appreciation, the 5th grade events, clubs and more!

Room Parent Coordinator - Put together the parents who help Riverside's teachers make each year so special.

Event  Planners - Be part of a new team that preps the "basics" for our regular events.

Author's Night - Create an event to inspire the next generation of writers.

Treasurer - Take on a critical behind the scenes role that keeps the PTO funds flowing and our programs running.
